I'll preface this by saying that I don't think that it's a terrible thing for them to bring awareness to the issue.

Yeah, but they could have just as easily said"because of increasing tensions" or even delayed without saying anything. Consumers watch EA for some of the dumb shit they do using games they develop and release, but they don't see what they do for triggers such as equality and office diversity (they have actually been given in numerous years). They are actually super progressive internally and must be commended on that. It is easy to be skeptical about Madden 21 coins this sort of thing, but they could just have easily avoided making an announcement. Yo, thanks so much for sharing this information. No matter how folks feel about their matches we should commend them for their innovative actions. I am surprised that I am simply NOW hearing relating to this. I truly wish the gaming community will step up and start caring a lot more about stuff like this.

Same could happen if it had been Epic or Activision. In case CDPR, Valve or some other beloved company did the same, remarks would be wholly different. Edit: Sony did the same and the overall reception on those comments are mostly positive. Stay fresh, Reddit. I really don't think so. If their primary customer base is African American is does not make sense to market to them at the moment. As they will not be spending right now, as games is not on there minds right now. Not about honor imo. More or less they not moving into the shops immediately to make purchases. Now with use of advertising they could utilize this as a show of solidarity with that marketplace. Maybe this is the cynical part of me. A nice gesture, but are not these the very same men and women who censored Colin Kaepernick's title from a song in one of the previous Madden games?

I'll preface this by saying that I don't think that it's a terrible thing for them to bring awareness to the issue. It is important that it can not just be dismissed by taking a look from it. With that said, I really do hold a certain amount of doubt towards multi-billion dollar multinational corporations paying lip service to significant social problems. They're in the best possible position to do more than simply put out a press release or public announcement. Obviously, as a philosophical business they are under no obligation to do so, and yet it rings hollow when they try to stand in solidarity with the common people. Currently there are companies out there that are doing things and this is the opportunity to highlight those attempts; to demonstrate that they're more than simply words.

Having said that police brutality is not just something that a company like EA throwing money at the problem does much towards fixing. At best they place money towards the lawyers and groups that struggle to see justice after the truth or lobby to have laws changed that in the present government won't. It has systemic issues within authorities of not reporting their particular and holding them accountable rather staying quiet and with the police unions which allow it all to happen or in ways even promote it by the repercussions being a slap on the wrist followed by being hired in a different precinct showing them there's no consequences. Before even getting to laws and rulings such as qualified immunity which shield abusive cops and allow them to misuse their power . The vast majority of that EA and many capitalist companies aren't able to do all that much about making it unjust to state they're at the best possible position to do more.

The ones at the best possible place to do more would be the assumed good cops by no more remaining quiet and allowing bad cops to get away with their misuse of power or voting to get superior direction for their marriages which won't enable the behavior. But of course it is just words. Companies will only ever do these things once public opinion has turned one way. Since following decades of corporations doing things for the wrong reason, people are very cynical. Even if all corporations ceased doing things wrong, it is going to take a long, long time for that picture of corporate America to reduce its tarnish. Part of what people can do is elect politicians that cheap Mut 21 coins at least promise that they'll hold these corporations accountable. It probably won't happen by itself. This could be a lot easier if someone like this may run for office successfully.
